I think most moms all want the same thing on Mother's Day...peace and quite. In all honesty, I would love to just have the day for myself.
Sleep in.
Make coffee.
Sit on the couch and watch HGTV or TLC while drinking HOT coffee.
Go for a run.
Change back into my pajamas for a nap.
Wake up.
Eat something.
Shower.
Go shopping...for myself.
Have someone else make dinner and clean it up.
Go to bed for the night.
That, to me, sounds pretty perfect.
But instead, my day usually consists of driving to celebrate with my MIL and then driving to the other end of town to celebrate with my mom. I'm OK with this because I LOVE my husband's family and mine. Then I think about the fact that when I'm old and moldy, everyone will drive around town to come spend the day with me and I get to stay in my jammies.
I've been keeping my eye on a few things that I'd love to get for Mother's Day or my birthday in August. Here's my wish list:
