Apparently, I must have been having too much fun last night to post how my day went. If you call fun staying up until midnight trying to fit in work that you didn't get to earlier in the day.
The boys spent the night at my parents' house the night before, so I was finally able to get a run in. It had been four days since my last run and my body was making me pay for it. I managed to get in 2 miles before having to return to the house before the kids returned.
Breakfast: Paul made scrambled eggs with red bell pepper.
I had to scarf my food down and then clean up to take the biggest kid (Onion) to a birthday party at Dave and Buster's. We had a blast, until the food arrived at the table: fries, chicken nuggets with giant bowls of ranch, mini pizzas. I brought a Larabar with me in case I was hungry. Onion had been complaining of a bit of a stomach ache earlier in the day and wasn't looking so hot when the meal arrived. He didn't eat much and just wanted to go home. We said our goodbyes and headed home.
Lunch: Leftover All Day Frittata
Dinner: I changed the meal plan and made this Braised Mexican Beef from Nom Nom Paleo. I topped it with some guac. It was good, but I didn't get to braise it in the oven and cooked it on the stovetop. I definitely think it would have tasted better if I made it the way I was supposed to. I finished dinner off with some strawberries.
All most done with the first week!
